Pastor Joe Hoggard has been a Pastor with the Assemblies of God since 1991, leading congregations in Central Florida and Jackson County, West Virginia, before coming to Oak Hill in August of 2000. He is a 1990 graduate of Southeastern College in Lakeland, Florida, where he received degrees in Bible and Pastoral Ministries, with a minor in Missions.  Pastor Joe is also a member of the District Presbytery for the Appalachian District Council of the Assemblies of God.

Raised as a Roman Catholic, Pastor Joe gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1985. "I just came to realize that religion wasn't enough. Baptist, Catholic, Methodist: none of it matters if you don't know Jesus, and I didn't."

Married to Laura in 1989, Pastor Joe has three children:  Hannah, Grace and Titus.
